Just when I thought my life couldn't get any crazier, I stumbled across a new and refreshing arena that many wouldn't even dare go near. So I invite you to take this journey with me into the world of BDSM.
What is BDSM? BDSM stands for Bondage, Discipline, Sado-Masochism which consists of a variety of strange, yet very erotic practices between two willing and consensual adults. BDSM is a special type of relationship which translates into a different lifestyle shared between two adults who care and love each other. Typically, one person assumes the role of a Sub or submissive, while the other person takes on the role of the Dom which is short for Dominant. The role of the sub in the relationship is to please and obey her Dom, while the role of the Dom is to protect, care for, and love his submissive. What differentiates a traditional relationship from a BDSM relationship is that the roles are clearly defined and a set of rules are established in the form of a contract. Discipline, punishment, and rewards are essential to to maintaining the dynamic of this type of relationship. It is the sub's job to keep her Dom happy and the Dom's job to mold his sub into the submissive that will fulfill his wants and needs.
How Did I Get Here? The world of BDSM has always been of interest to me. I was a submissive long before I knew what the term really meant. Now, I'm coming to accept that part of who I am. And it's not so easy being yourself in a world that forces you to be something else. But I made a vow to myself to be true to who I am, without regard for who likes it or not. My motivation for letting go and living freely has become bigger than my fears. So here I am. I invite you to take this journey with me.
